Entryway: Part 2
I saw this whole wall of photographs in a pottery barn catalogue a year or two back and really wanted to copy it. I also fell in love with the faux antiqued keys that they had hanging... pottery barn and apple have the same idea: get people to buy expensive crap they don't need. i'm their demographic.
but when it comes to hanging pictures i am thoroughly useless at hanging them straight. so while I was out walking bella an idea came to me and i devoted the next two hours to creating my pottery barn wall of pictures. i taped thumbtacks into the nail catch on the back of the pictures and held them up to the wall where I wanted to nail them. Press it into the wall until the thumbtack leaves a hole and voila! You know exactly where to place the nail.
I was actually really excited with how well it worked with a double nail catch, i can rarely hang those straight. I just balanced the level on top of the frame and let the thumbtacks and two steady hands do the rest.
and the pretty much finished product (i have more frames to add eventually):
the block letters i purchased off of etsy from UniquelyDifferentToo. the blocks were discounted because i bought a set. ($24)
the keys from pottery barn I got on sale and free shipping, too. i feel a little used but that comes from being a purchaser of expensive crap to hang on your walls. my hippie side is ashamed but she'll get over it. ($14)
the entire project wasn't TOO much considering that I spent several months buying $25-50 worth of for-sale black frames from Michael's and other stores once or twice a month and Chad asking, "What are you doing with all of those picture frames???" ($60)
I WAS DOING THIS, poo head.

Strip Me / Natasha Bedingfield
The rumors are true... recently I have been late to work. Often. Because I was with Bella.
We're either wandering the nearby neighborhoods on a walk, playing ball, snuggling in bed or doing a photo shoot.
and now Chad and I can't have children until I can afford to put them through all that the therapy needed for the, "mom loved the dog more than me" problem.
