Park City Ghost Tours

Chad loves finding deals for shit we don't need things on your regular deal sites.  A couple of months ago he called because he had found 50% off tickets to a Ghost Tour in Park City.  We both love Halloween but Chad will do anything involving Ghosts all year round.  If TAPS called him up and wanted him to work for them he would quit whatever it is he does for a day job now.

We've done three different Salt Lake Bus Ghost Tours.  Those have been fun but the ghost stories are always hokey and full of holes.  When I lived in the Avenues we spent many evenings wandering around the giant city cemetery with various friends or just the two of us.  Chad spends countless hours watching different versions of the same show where people run around in the dark shouting, "Did you hear that?  What was that???"

So of course I agreed to go to the Park City Ghost Tour.  I figured we would get something to eat in Park City, ride around on a trolley listening to ghost stories and go home.  Um, wrong.

This was pretty amazing.  First of all it was a walking tour which I think heightened the creepy factor a little bit.  Then they had this guy:

who definitely LOVES his job.  He had everyone captivated with his stories and knowledge of the history of Park City.  And then the stuff he told us... still gives me the creeps thinking about it.  Definitely stay away from this place:

The best part was that we wandered the main streets of the beautiful Park City in all of it's fall evening glory... with Rocky Mountain Chocolate Caramel apples.  Yum!

All in all, it was a lot fun with Chad, Brandy, Trevor, Nicole, and Jason.  We all decided we will go back up there and do our own tour... although this might be one of those things that will end up happening in 2015 or so.  That and I'm kind of afraid to do it without the Ghost Tour Guide to protect us from the unseen :)

Disney Land and Dessert

Last week Chad, Becca, and I embarked on an incredible journey to Disney Land.  We had an amazing time that included, but was not limited to: cancelled flights, Ramada complimentary breakfasts, alcohol, face painting, sequinned Minnie Ears, World of Color, scratch cards, $5, fireworks, itineraries, benefiber, coffee breaks, Utah Fans, accidental de-caf, friends and loved ones.  It was like Christmas on crack... with less family and more presents.

On our first night we had a lovely dinner in California Adventure at the Winery.  The meal came with a dessert plate which I took a picture and ate most of.

I will most definitely be eating dessert there again.

Brunch both mornings at the Ramada was passable, but really, what can you expect from free breakfast?  Also, apparently when there are two spigots for coffee one of them is most likely de-caf.  Watch out for that.

We're already planning our next trip to the Happiest Place on Earth and you are more than welcome to join us :)

Candid Camera

Sometimes I use my DVR to store ridiculous movies that I would never watch with anyone... but Bella.  So, when Chad is gone or I have 30 minutes and I'm procrastinating have nothing to do I watch bits and pieces until I'm through.  The latest gem was Campus Crush and no, you don't need to look that up.  Just take those 90 minutes and do something else.  Even if that involves lying on the floor chewing on your hair you are just better off.

Sometimes I get carried away and watch 45 minutes or even more and Bella is so bored she starts amusing herself which usually ends with her falling asleep with a ball in her mouth.  I've been unsuccessful so far in capturing her in all of her glory, but this was my best attempt:

Bella would like me to let you know that she was NOT asleep with a ball in her mouth, she was keeping it from escaping... with her eyes closed.
