2016 wasn’t the best year for us … there were a lot of trial-and-error DIY projects, I broke my hip, and a Cheeto got elected president. But there were some good things that happened. Can’t think of any right now…
2015 was filled with travel, running, and of course, the Big Move from one part of the city to another…
As usual, we had a couple of days to enjoy the park (sore legs and all). And for something completely different my sister, Laura, her husband, Mel, and their daughter joined us for a day. This gave me the chance to finally make an appointment at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and participate in a princess transformation. Because, “ma’am, this is really only for kids” can be told to me so many times before they threaten to kick me out of the park. Jerks.
My niece LOVED being transformed into a princess and thoroughly enjoyed meeting as many pixies, princesses, mice, and any other type of Disney character she could get in line to hug and interview.
Disney has started incorporating challenges into their runDisney events because running isn’t crazy enough. For instance, The Goofy Challenge, is a half marathon on Saturday and a marathon on Sunday. And if you think that sounds too easy then there’s The Dopey Challenge which is a 5k on Thursday, 10k on Friday, half marathon on Saturday, and marathon on Sunday.
You see? There ARE crazier people than me!
The Pixie Dust Challenge will sound essentially normal in comparison; it involves running a 10k on Saturday and a half marathon on Sunday, which is nothing new for me. Knowing what it entailed should have made me wiser. It didn’t. This time Chad joined in on the challenge. Because I’m wearing him down, obviously.
