I enjoy doing laundry. It’s one of my more shameful secrets. Shameful because I was raised by a woman who, along with several of her friends, imparted on me the notion that feminists hate all things that homemakers do. I couldn’t be a successful feminist woman and want to do laundry. But then I started watching HGTV and realized how wrong they were. I could want my home to be beautiful, I could love to do laundry, I could enjoy cooking dinner for my significant other… and still want to get paid the same as men.

This was a giant weight off of my chest.

Bella loves being able to go in and out as she pleases, so the backyard has slowly been destroying the Everything Is Awful thought bubble she has hanging out over her head. This has also been a huge improvement to Chad’s sleep schedule, since for the last 4+ years, every few nights or more, Bella wakes him up to take her outside so she can either pee or sniff all the grass on the property. I would be more than happy to take her outside, but she doesn’t wake me up. Probably because I could sleep through an earthquake.
